The River House and The Other House are situated just off the R43 between Worcester and Villiersdorp in the Western Cape’s Boland (Breede Valley) region. As a rough guide, it will take you an estimated 90 minutes to travel from Cape Town CBD before you can kick back and enjoy our little piece of paradise on the beautiful Breede River.

We are situated roughly:

• 28km from Rawsonville
• 14km from Worcester Central
• 35km from Villiersdorp
• 50km from Robertson
• 123km from Cape Town CBD and
• 117km from Cape Town InternationalAirport

When travelling from any other direction than Cape Town, please follow the directions below starting from the High Africa Road Sign on the R43. We will provide you with a “Google Maps pin drop“ a few days prior to your arrival.

TRAVELLING FROM CAPE TOWN

• Take the N1 through the Hugenot Tunnel (or Du Toits Kloof Pass) and turn right at the R101 Rawsonville turnoff
  
  
• Drive into the small town of Rawsonville
  
  
• In Rawsonville, turn right into Van Riebeeck Street and continue +-12km’s to Nekkies Resort.
  
  
• Turn left towards Worcester over the Breede River
  
  
• Just before Worcester, take the R43 towards Villiersdorp
  
  
• Drive past the Aan de Doorns Wine Cellar (on your right) and continue for 5km’s
  
  
• Look out for the Cilmor Cellers on your right (huge red brick building situated against the mountain) and the High Africa road sign immediately on your left (the High Africa Turnoff from the R43 is easy to miss…)
  
  
• Turn left on to the High Africa dirt road and continue over the small canal to where the road forks
  
  
• Where the road forks, turn right, towards The River House and The Other House
  
  
• Continue on the dirt road following the signs for “The River House” and “ The Other House”. The very last property at the end of the dirt road is “The River House”. The property right next door is “The Other House”
  
  
• You’ve arrived at our hidden piece of paradise!
